"Yellowstone fans are waiting endlessly until the series returns for the remainder of its fifth and final season. Paramount Network has promised to return in the fall, but with the writers' strike underway, that date seems less likely. It's not yet clear if Kevin Costner will reprise the role of John Dutton, or how many more episodes are left (creator Taylor Sheridan told The Hollywood Reporter that there could be up to 10 episodes).
What's left for a Dutton Universe fan? Not much has happened about the spin-off and sequel, although 1883 is showing again on Paramount Network. This summer is the perfect time to revisit the original series, and when that happens, keen viewers are bound to find some plot holes.
[Spoiler alert: if you haven't caught up with Yellowstone, come back now.]
A specific plot hole has surfaced on Reddit. It's basically back to the scene at the end of Season 4 when Beth finds out Jamie dumped her father's body after killing him. When he arrives at the location, presumably the famous "train station" (aka where the Duttons make people disappear), Beth is waiting for him and taking pictures for future blackmail. Skipping Season 5's mid-season finale, when Jamie told Beth about the "train station", she was shocked and distraught to discover such a place existed. She went to talk to her father, John and asked him where it was.

The Reddit poster wrote: "She obviously knew it was there because otherwise, she wouldn't have known to wait for Jamie there. This is a huge plot bug for me. It was a writing error. I still love the show though."
Some viewers were convinced that Beth followed Jamie to the scene: "There's nothing to show, show, or imply that she's ready. there. She stepped forward while he carried the body." But others thought it was unlikely that she had followed Jamie undetected: "He would have seen his headlights in the rearview mirror. "
Fast forward to Season 5 Episode 8 ("Knife and No Coins") and Beth confronts John about the train station after Jamie tells her, "What exactly is that?" Governor Dutton says to his daughter, "It's a Dumpster for whoever attacked us." and even asks, "Why are you so surprised?" Beth then suggests that the train station is a place for Jamie.
That certainly sounds like a conspiracy to us, but it leaves room for interpretation. If you want to try it yourself, you can now stream all episodes on Peacock.
